Nikki joined the firm in 1989 after completing her Legal Secretarial qualifications at Brooklyn College. With the support of the firm she studied at night school and by correspondence to become a Chartered Legal Executive. Nikki qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2003. With a background in Wills, Probate and Trusts she specializes in estate administration, including

  • Liaising with Banks, Building Societies, Investment and Insurance companies to establish valuations at the date of death
  • Arranging probate valuations for houses, stocks and shares, household and personal goods
  • Tracing lost assets
  • Tracing unknown loans or credit card liabilities
  • Intestate Estates Will Search
  • Preparation of Statements of Truth and making application for the Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration
  • Making applications for Grants for Executors without capacity
  • Preparation of Inheritance Tax forms, paying inheritance tax and claiming inheritance tax exemptions
  • Deeds of Appointment to appoint assets out of a Nil Rate Band Discretionary Trust
  • Deeds of Variation
  • Gathering in Estate Funds including Banks, Building Societies, Investments and
  • Selling or transferring stocks and shares and investment portfolio
  • Arranging House Clearances
  • Dealing with assets abroad
  • Arranging Probate house sales
  • Checking identification for beneficiaries/bankruptcy searches to make sure the legacy can be paid to the beneficiary and not their trustee in bankruptcy

  • Dealing with income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax clearances
  • Preparing Estate Accounts to account for all receipts and payments to keep a record for the estate and to provide to beneficiaries
  • Making distributions to beneficiaries
