Global’s Make Some Noise

ByKate Slater October 7, 2016

Tyndallwoods are delighted to support the work of Global’s Make Some Noise to raise awareness and fund-raise for local charities. Judy Dyke – solicitor, director and patron of Edward’s Trust – spoke alongside Edward’s Trust Ambassador and stalwart volunteer, Richard, on Heart FM and Smooth Radio this morning. The aim was to provide listeners with a real insight to the work of Edward’s Trust, one of the charities supported by Global’s Make Some Noise. Edward’s Trust offers bereavement support to children and families and helps combat the negative cycle that grief can trigger. Often, parents who have lost a child need the emotional support to continue to care for their surviving children, but Edward’s Trust also supports children who have lost a parent or grandparent and need the space and support to be able to grieve safely.

Richard came to Edward’s Trust, initially as a bereaved parent, and bravely shared his experiences with radio listeners on Smooth Radio, whilst Judy told listeners that a contribution as small as £50 pays for craft materials needed for each child in the Edward’s Trust Creative Expression of Grief Project. £1,090 supports a bereaved child through the counselling they need, and £1,430 supports a bereaved parent for the same.

You too can get involved and contribute to Global’s Make Some Noise and support thirty-four local charities making a difference for disadvantaged children. Make Some Noise is all about giving a voice to small projects like Edward’s Trust. We are so grateful to the promotion and support that Global has offered Edward’s Trust. Thank you.
