Judy Dyke is in the running to be a 2012 Olympic Torchbearer

ByTyndallwoods November 28, 2011

During 2011 Judy was pleased to bring together a team of 69 runners in the Birmingham Half Marathon
all of whom were sponsored to support the wonderful work of Edward’s Trust.  Judy’s heart attack of three years ago is long passed, but sadly she was not able to run the half marathon herself on doctor’s advice.

She was grateful to be nominated to be an Olympic torchbearer. She has made it through the first round of the selection process and said “I can’t imagine who it would feel to carry the touch.  It would truly be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

Judy was nominated to be a torchbearer by her colleague Kate Slater who added “Judy is truly inspirational and has gone the extra mile for her charity. We’d
like to wish her the best of luck with her bid and hope that she is successful in bearing the Olympic flame”.
