Tree of Light 2020

ByKate Slater December 4, 2020

Due to COVID restrictions we sadly could not host clients at a turning on ceremony at our office this year but we invited them to celebrate the life of a loved one by dedicating a light on our tree of light in support of Edward’s Trust. The tree stands in our office garden here at 29 Woodbourne Road during the Christmas season.

We are pleased to announce that over £2,000 has been raised for the charity.

Christmas is a special time for friends and family. It is a time when we often recall memories of those who have died in recent years.

The names of everyone for whom a light is dedicated is recorded in a “Book of Lights” kept at the office during the month of December.

The death of a parent or a child brings a grief that is particularly intense and long lasting. Edward’s Trust aims to offer holistic bereavement care. The main focus of their supportive care is their direct one to one work with children and adults who are living with grief and sadness following the death of a parent or child.

They know that life will never be the same for them again but with the right sort of support they can begin to live their lives to the fullest.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has been affected during these difficult months and we wish everyone a peaceful Christmas and New Year.
