Troop Aid

ByTyndallwoods June 19, 2013

We at Tyndallwoods have for several years been pleased to assist Troop Aid  supporting our injured troops returning to the United Kingdom from war zones without personal effects or clothing.  Troop Aid gives each service individual a Grab Bag containing basic essentials.

During 2012 approximately 1,200 Grab Bags were packed and distributed by Troop Aid to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, the British Military Hospital Afghanistan and other Ministry of Defence Hospital Units throughout the UK.  Judy and Michael were pleased to apply to grant making trusts on behalf of the Charity and to date have obtained grants exceeding £14,000 – the charity thanked Judy and Michael for their dedication in their Spring 2013 News Update.

Clare‘s Mum, Diana Sillery, has also run regular cake sales at Rolls Royce with cakes made by her Nan, Elizabeth Jones. All proceeds go to the special Charity and they are warmly thanked for raising over £600 to date!
