Willing and Able

ByTyndallwoods June 1, 2012

We are ever anxious to improve the quality of our Will service.  The members of our Private Client Team are qualified, regulated and insured.  We take all steps to ensure that the process of Will drafting is given the importance that it deserves.

We insist on at least one personal meeting with the client to make certain that we are receiving instructions from the client themselves without any undue influence. We then carry out any checks necessary for us to satisfy ourselves as to the mental capacity of the client.  We make careful file notes recording all attendances.

The Will is drafted by a solicitor and reviewed by another qualified member of the Private Client Team.

A Will needs to be robust against future challenge. All our file notes are recorded digitally when the matter is finished, so that at any time in the future our notes can be reproduced and used as evidence.

We ensure that all Wills are validly signed.

We are happy to store clients’ Wills without charge.

All solicitors in our Private Client Team undertake work in relation to the administration of  estates. We are thus aware of the pitfalls that may arise in the administration of  an estate caused by  drafting issues.

Please contact us if you have any queries in relation to the matters highlighted above.

We would also be pleased to hear from you with any ways that we can improve our service.
